The Smartest Accidental Decision I Ever Made

Hi all. I'm Lady Jane! 

Many of you have seen me over the years in various clubs in Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida; and while when I first started, I never planned to do this forever, the path I chose has led me to opening this store to better serve people from all walks of life.

 It all started in 2000, I owned a high-end lingerie shop on a town square in small town Tennessee. The shop had been open less than a year when I found myself in the middle of a divorce after 32 years of marriage. One day two young women stopped in and invited me to bring some of the items to the clubs they worked at explaining they were exotic dancers! WOW! I had never been anywhere like that, but I needed the money so I decided this would work short-term. 

While I may have felt a little uncomfortable my first night visiting, the girls were so excited to see me and were so respectful that I overcame my nervousness quickly! 

As my divorce came to an end, I had picked up a few more clubs; still with the plan of quitting once the divorce was final. But then the unthinkable happened a month before it was done- I lost my oldest son in an accident. I had had enough and so two weeks after my divorce was final the shop was sold, and I set out on the road for a new era of Lady Jane’s- which turned out to be the smartest accidental decision I ever made!

Over the last 20 years I’ve become close with bartenders, servers, dancers, and club owners and I am grateful for all the people I’ve come to know. But, as the years have passed and my age has climbed, and it (may) be time for this fiesty lady not to be driving 90 miles at 4 a.m. and so I decided to lay down roots and opened my new store-front- Lady Jane's in Madison, AL.

I've met so many wonderful people over the years and having an actual store front gives me an opportunity to meet even more that I may have not met on the road! I truly love all the people I've met so far and look forward to embracing new experiences with new customers!
